A sunny day in Auckland.
We tie our new inflatable kayak on the roof of our people mover and head to the local beach.

But the tide is out. Way out.
Between us and the water lies a mile of shelly sludgey sand.
No matter.
Inflatable kayaks don't weigh much.
Just as well, because Scrag wants a ride too.
Never mind the shallow water.
We have turned into a family of picture-takers...
I am loving my new camera. What a great zoom.
They don't even know I am snapping them...
But sometimes to get the best shots you just have to take off your jandals and squelch through the sludge.
Or sit really close to a very sweet cookie-eating face...
Some faces just need to be photographed...
Again and again...
Yep, having a camera makes spending a day in the blazing sun worth it, even when you have cramps. I love my new camera!!!
