Is that a DUCK on my roof?
It is. A duck. On my roof.
I wonder what he is doing up there?
Oh. A romantic getaway for two.
Back to reality.
My poor sick baby sleeping {while I steal a few minutes of me-time and ask the Universe some very deep questions...}
How many nappies can you change in one day?
13,201 when diarrhoea is involved...
13,201 when diarrhoea is involved...
{at least that's what it feels like. Change a nappy, smell a stink, wipe a backside, change a nappy, smell a stink...}
How many days can a schoolgirl stay off school?
Until she is eating again. Can't send her to school until she can eat.
And walk without assistance.
And walk without assistance.
*Sigh*
How long can a nappy bag stay on top of a roof? {yes it's still there}
Until the wind blows it within reach and mummy can get rid of it herself, I guess.
And what do you do when you are so tired from changing 13,202 diarrhoea nappies, washing drying and folding 14,327 loads of sick-up bedding clothes and towels, emptying and sterilising 1400 sick bowls, dishing out pamol, wiping fevered brows, watching endless mindless kids cartoons and cooking dinner for the ones still eating?
Why, you iron your tea towels of course! So satisfying.
{help! I really am going crazy! get me out of here I've lost it lostit lost it lost it it it ititititititititit...}
I love that you manage to retain such an awesome sense of humor in spite of it all!
ReplyDeleteHow are you managing to keep blogging and laughing?! You are such a trooper and I hope this horrible week is over quickly and replaced by a much brighter one next week. Good on you for smiling through it all! And as for those ducks! Absolutely quackers!

Oh my gosh I think I would go nuts right with you! Maybe the ducks are on the roof for the nappie? Rofl. That would be weird. Now I'm off to find out why on earth it's on the roof!

ReplyDeleteYou poor thing. You really MUST have lost it, since you IRONED anything, much less your tea towells.

Thanks everybody!!! See this is why blogging is so great! You may be stuck in the house with sick kids but you can still feel CONNECTED to your friends all over the world, and get such nice messages that your sucky day/week is made brighter! A few points...
ReplyDeleteErm the nappy bag was on the garage roof. the ducks on the house roff. I think there's a reason for that because...
... the nappy bag has been there *cough* since the beginning of AUGUST {blush}
Right. I am ashamed. And I'm off right now to fetch it down by hook or by crook.
xx
