It was late at night. All the kidlets were tucked up in bed and I was on the loo (er, sorry, TMI??) when I had a sudden flash of inspiration for the weekend in Blogland.
A Party Party.
You know I love kids parties (if you didn't, where have you been??)
There's been...
- My first ever theme party for Dash at age four (a Jungle Party)
- A crazy fifth Birthday Deep Blue Sea party for Dash (hilarious)
- Miss Fab's magical Fairy Party (my favourite party)
- Dash's sixth birthday Sports Party (what else??)
- Our baby Scrag's first birthday Teddy Bears Picnic (really sweet)
- The Royal Ball party for Miss Fab when she turned five (O what a night)
- A Dinosaur Adventure Sleepover for Dash, when he turned seven (we survived)
- and finally Scrag's Wacky Wheels Party when he turned two (such fun!)
My three kids are conveniently spaced thoughout the year with four months between each birthday - no I didn't plan it that way! We have a rule: no talking about your birthday party until after the person before you has had theirs (otherwise my kids would start talking about their next party before we have finished cleaning up from their last one; they look forward to their birthdays all year long!)
Now I'm in the process of planning my daughter's sixth birthday party for next month; "A Rather Fancy Sleepover" for three of her closest little friends. Think Fancy Nancy and lots of Dressing Up. (do you like the photos of what I've found so far at the Salvation Army store...? Bargains for $1 or .50c!)
Link up to party posts you've done previously. Link up as many of your parties as you want (make sure you link to the post, not just your main blog). It doesn't have to be a whole party; it could be just how you made a fab cake...
I love to meet other party-mad mothers and I'll bet there's a bunch of others would love to check out your fun ideas and creativity...

Great idea Simone!!
Love it... great idea. And I love the look of all those dress ups. I am ridiculously proud of my pom poms!!! Sad I know...
oooh Simoney, I've just looked through my birthday posts and they have nothing on yours so won't link them - far too boring! HOWEVER, you have INSPIRED me to go to the opshop for dressups!!! So cool!
I am a party mad mum also, but haven't been in the blogging world long enough to have blogged about a party yet. LOVE your ideas - particularly the latest! Santa got my eldest a whole stocking full of op-shopped dress-ups one year - she LOVED it!
I LOVE PARTIES TOO!!!!! Perhaps I'll link up the cakes I've made other pples parties too! WAHOO!!! You should sit on the loo more often! So glad I found you, SITSTA!
okay, after reading up on all your parties....i realize that I need to blog much more thoroughly about mine! Looking back...I left out all the good stuff! :( I promise I'll do better next time!
Sounds like fun!!
probably won't have much to offer BUT will love to visit and see other's ideas!
apparently going to the loo is quite inspirational for you!!!
lol
I can't wait to read all the ideas. I like to put on parties for my kids every year. Much more fun than going to the local bouncy place! One year for my son we did a Fear Factor party. That was a blast!
oooo We love Fancy Nancy!! :) What a great idea for a party!
This is a wonderful idea, I'll be sure to link up whenever I get around to planning and executing that perfect party that's in my head!
First time here from SITS and I'm thrilled to meet you. My bubba's nana is Scots/Kiwi and we dream of going out there to visit their great-grandparents one day (before it's too late!). And housework is also my pet peeve...who has the time or the will? lol
Wish I had one to share. I did a pink party once for pokey that was a hit, but no pics online. Oh, I do have a party favor idea I could share. Not sure that's what you wanted. Great ideas though. Love this!
ok so a) i have boys and b) i have never had a party for either of them (the eldest is 4). So i don't think i'd be a fascinating contributor to your party party. But i am rectifying this in a few weeks when i will be hosting a party complete with entertainer for my eldest. So i can pass on my tips after that!

This is a great idea Simoney. I haven't really got anything much to contribute but I will add a link to a post I did for Big Al's family party-not overly kiddy friendly but the cake was yummy!
Big Al has also posted his tips on taking photos so we will link up his me picture today too.
Thanks again and have a great week.
Best wishes,
Natasha.
