A work in progress. It gets worse before it gets better. Like lots of things in life, you can't bake a cake without breaking some eggs (or something like that). This was the obstacle course that anyone needing the loo had to climb over. Mr G's poor (pregnant) P.A. had to climb over this pile... luckily she's a lovely gal and has a great sense of humour.

A Mission
See, I told you it was Bad. This is my linen closet. You must surely agree with me there is no way I could possibly have gone off on holiday and left my poor house-sitting friend having to find sheets and towels in this mayhem?? Even I couldn't find anything in here. I was hunting for ages trying to find the pillowcases. No luck. Only solution... clean the jolly thing.

Looks great - mine looks like the first pic! I love 'chortle'... such a cool word!
mine is like the first pic too...except maybe worse. I have a huge double one that still seems to be full and I don't use hardly any of it.
ggod job! That is my labour day weekend chore!
Awesome job. I have a little tip for you to keep it more organized. I use bankers boxes and place my sheets like hanging files in them. This way I just grab what I want and the rest stay in the box, this avoids the problem of sheets tumbling over. You can also try shelf dividers to keep your stacks straight.
Nicely done Simone and good on you for having Widge's blog be blog of the week...it is a good place to drop by....I concur!!
oooh, love the look of neatly folded towels and sheets. Its a day of realizing I'm a little bit strange!
I admit, I'm the before picture. I think I just have too much stuff... and its too hard to fit!
Looks great! Hopefully you'll be able to keep it looking that way. It will be so much easier to find what you need. Keep up the good work!
I am very impressed! My linen closet looks remarkably like your "before"...want to come and do mine next? :)
Way to go! I am going to be tackling my linen closet this week.
good job! sometimes when we finally tackle one of these spaces--we realize that we just have too much stuff in them--in your case, you needed to ditch the sleeping bags. I just did my sock drawer and came to the conclusion that I needed two drawers for them. tada...now I can find things.
I hope you are able to keep your closet sort of like that. Looks GREAT!
I'm late in giving you kudos, but great job! My linen closet needs major work, too. Hope it looks as good as yours does when I'm done!
How's everybody in your house? Hope your dad's still doing okay. I still think of you and him often. ;0)
